Go Solar Springfield

Bringing Solar to Springfield and Sangamon County.

Welcome to Go Solar Springfield, a WindSolarUSA initiative. We're working on bringing solar to more of Springfield and Sangamon County by launching a group purchasing program, which helps bring costs down for homeowners and businesses that want to use solar to offset their traditional utility expenses

In an effort to continue to help make Springfield 'green' for homeowners and businesses, WindSolarUSA is launching a group purchasing initiative, “Go Solar Springfield”.

The program, designed to be a 'one-stop shop' for those interested in utilizing solar energy, uses American-made modules and IBEW DG-certified electrical installers. It also includes free site assessments coupled with financial performance modeling.

“One of the things we were looking to do as a renewable energy company was to increase the awareness of solar as a green alternative,” said Michelle Knox, WindSolarUSA found and president. Continuing, “As cost continue to come down and the payback windows shrink, we felt now would be a good time to introduce the 'Go Solar Springfield' group purchasing plan.”

By negotiating bulk purchase pricing for products and installation for the program, Springfield and Sangamon County residents and business owners can now install solar on their homes or buildings for well below today's market prices.

For most system in the City of Springfield, paybacks run under three years on commercial systems, and five years for residential, due in part to an additional rebate offered to CWLP customers through their 'Solar Rewards Program.'

We'll be presenting several informational sessions over the coming weeks. The events are free, though you'll need to register. Our first event is on August 17th, 2016. Register now.
