Small vs. Corporate Wind

Wind systems are divided into two classes: Corporate and Residential/Small Community.

Corporate Wind:

Corporate Wind is comprised of turbines that are greater than 100kW in size and have rotors (blades) that are greater than 50 feet.

Residential or Small Community Wind:
Residential or Small Community Wind is comprised of turbines that are less than 100kW and have rotors/blades that range in size from 3-50 feet.

WindSolarUSA, Inc. is an advocate of Small Community Wind as turbines of this size allow their owner to create a level of self-sufficiency and sustainability using existing power lines. Additionally, these turbines can generally be delivered to your site without the additional easement and shipping concerns of larger turbines.
